Seasons change.
That's the promise of a season, they don't last forever.
God is in charge of the times and seasons.
20 Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. 21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. (Daniel 2:20-21)
It may be scary as we're transitioning because it goes from known to unknown.
We often transition from familiar to unfamiliar.
We tend to ask ourselves if God wants us to be still or move?
Here are 8 things to do while you're in a transition season with the Lord.
#1 Bind up the fear of the unknown
14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13)
While the Israelites were transitioning out of Egypt (bondage) into wilderness and heading towards the promise land.
As the Egyptians were pursuing the Israelites they were in fear of what was coming after them, yet God was about to make a way for His people!
Don't let fear hinder you from moving forward.
#2 Move without fully understanding
15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. (Exodus 14:15)
We may not ALWAYS understand what God is doing, we are just called to trust Him!
I trust in God not because of what I'm going through, but because of His promises.
#3 Trust & believe God over man
31 Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses. (Exodus 14:31)
When God parted the sea and delivered His people from the Egyptians, they believed.
Trust God is going to deliver from the very thing you made a decision to leave from.
#4 Cast down wicked thoughts
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)
Not everything you 'think' is true.
We must discern the difference between the lies & truth.
Cast down EVERY lie the enemy is sending your way in a form of a thought.
#5 Vision to see God’s bigger
30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” (Numbers 13:30-31)
We must see it from God's lens.
The spies that spied out the promise land... those that had a bad report didn't make it to promise land.
But those that gave a good report made it to the promise.
Do you see the giants bigger than God?
Or is God bigger than our giants?
See it from God's perspective.
#6 Repentance over rebellion
11 Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them? (Numbers 14:11)
29 The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above. (Numbers 14:29)
Complaining causes curses.
If you ever want to pray in the flesh? Complain.
Have a TRUE heart of repentance.
We must be willing to change our mind.
#7 Rule your spirit & emotions
28 Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls. (Proverbs 25:28)
It's not bad to have emotions.
It's when your emotions have you that can lead to destruction.
#8 Don’t be an orphan
Know that you have a good good Father.
Operate as a child of God & knowing your identity.
When we lack identity, we lack direction.
