Wisdom is our ability to understand discernment, obedience, timing & application.
Experience is a hard teacher.
Wisdom is the best teacher.
Wisdom gives security.
Wisdom gives prosperity.
Wisdom gives promotion.
Faith wins battles.
But wisdom builds homes.
We're called to be harmless as doves, wise as serpents. (Matthew 10:16)
& we don't want to be deceived by the spirit of this age. We must continue to test EVERY spirit.
Wise - adjust based on correction.
Wicked - intentionally harm others.
Foolish - discuss consequences & see how they respond.
7 Go from the presence of a foolish man,
When you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge. (Proverbs 14:7)

#1 Knowledge - acquiring facts
Knowledge is information.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)
#2 Understanding - properly interpreting those facts.
Understanding is revelation.
#3 Wisdom - application with those facts
Wisdom is application, demonstration, transformation.
Wisdom requires both knowledge & understanding.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; (Proverbs 2:6)
#4 Prudence - the ability to reason & good judgment to make decisions and act in a way to avoid risks and regret.

We don't just make decisions, we study consequences.
#5 Discretion - to know what to do in a situation without causing offense, the best solution for a situation.

#6 Discernment - investigation.
Discernment is knowing the difference between what is right and what is almost right.
Discernment is not option for the believer, it's mandatory.
Our ability to have righteousness towards God over being right.
To be righteous means to be in right standing with the Lord.
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding, (Proverbs 2:3)
#7 Fear of the Lord
It's not that we are scared of God, but we should be scared to not be with God.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)
5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:5)
10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
#8 Discipline - self control
It's hard to be a disciple for the Lord when you don't have discipline.
24 He who spares his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him promptly. (Proverbs 13:24)
#9 Diligence - careful & persistent work effort.
12 “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And find out knowledge and discretion. (Proverbs 8:12)
