8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9 Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. 10 And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and drink. For why should he see your faces looking worse than the young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the king.” (Daniel 1:8-10)

How does the Lord test us by fire?
#1 Lord tests the heart

#2 Tested by being praised

#3 Tested of impurities

Why Jesus comes with fire on earth?
49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! (Luke 12:49-50)
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 12 His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Matthew 3:11-12)
Benefits of God’s Favor
#1 Wisdom
4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:4)

Store my commands in your heart. 2 If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. 3 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. 22 The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22) NLT
#3 Wealth
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. (Proverbs 22:1) NKJV
1 Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold. (Proverbs 22:1) NLT
