You want to produce more for God?
It begins with hearing, understanding,, and acting upon God’s word.
This is a revelation coming from the parable of the sower in Matthew 13.
18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (Matthew 13:18-23)
Your heart is the soil. The seed is the word of God.
Not every seed lands on good soil.
Producing more for God is a heart check. Your heart is God’s main concern.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
God wants all of you.
God wants your heart and He’s seeking for those who are after His heart.
Producing one hundredfold begins with hearing.
How are you hearing? Or what lens are you hearing the word of God from?
If you’re hearing it from the lens of the prosperity gospel you’ll be thinking about your bank account and selfish ambitions every time you hear the word of God.
If you have a narcissistic mindset every time you hear God’s word you’ll think it’s about you.
God’s word, Kingdom plan, and purposes aren’t about you. They’re about Jesus.
The Bible is about Jesus and His glory. Not your own.
Can you get a personal revelation from the the word of God? Of course. It should convict us, instruct us, lead us, guide us, and teach us as we get revelation from the Holy Spirit. But every book of the Bible is about Jesus and His plan to be glorified in the earth. God’s plan to redeem His people back unto a right relationship with Him.
2 Keys to produce one hundredfold for God:
-
How you hear
-
The condition of your heart
9 Wrong lenses to hear from:
-
Worry - God commands us not to worry about our lives. He is our provider.
-
Fear - God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
-
Anxiety - God tells us to be anxious for nothing, but pray over everything.
-
Lack of faith - Faith is a key to receive God’s promises and operate in kingdom purpose.
-
Religious mindset - God wants more than your righteous robe and your religious act, He wants your heart and a real relationship with Him
-
Accusation - The devil is known as the accuser of the brethren who accuses believers day and night.
-
Condemnation - God doesn’t condemn. God convicts. Condemnation leads us away from God. Conviction inspires us to become more like Jesus.
-
Selfish ambition - The Bible is about God’s plan to prosper His kingdom, not yours.
-
Legalism - We are no longer under the Old Testament law. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives us life. And when we follow the ways of the Spirit, He will lead us into life.
7 Right ways to hear:
-
Humility - God gives more grace to the humble. But He resists the proud ears.
-
Purity - The pure in heart will be able to see and hear God’s word.
-
Fear of the Lord - The fear of God removes every ungodly fear of this world. It helps us operate in boldness and purpose for Him.
-
Submissiveness - God is looking for those who will submit their lives to Him. You can’t hear a revelation God knows you won’t submit to.
-
Faith - You must believe God! He is not a man that He should lie.
-
Relationship - A real relationship produces holiness, humility, and a hunger for God.
-
God’s character - It’s essential to have a proper understanding of God’s character when hearing His word, instructions and teaching. God is a God of love who loves us, but He is also a righteous judge that will pour out wrath in righteous judgement.
Jesus warns the disciples of these 2 hearing issues:
-
Hearing the perfect Teacher wrongly
When you’re hearing from the wrong lens it will lead you the wrong way. The disciples failed to recognize that Jesus was the Bread of Life and the Provider in the wilderness. Their hardened hearts produced a hearing problem and an inability to receive what He was teaching them.
-
Hearing a false teacher properly.
You’re hearing them right, but what they’re teaching is wrong. That’s the doctrine of the Pharisees. Jesus said to watch out for the leaven (doctrine or teaching) of the Pharisees. Jesus says to watch out for wolves in sheep’s clothing. Hearing these teachers will certainly lead you astray.
Jesus said take heed how you hear.
Hearing with the right heart with allow you to understand His word.
And when you’re submissive to act upon His word, you will produce one hundredfold for His kingdom.
