Let's be honest...
We live a busy life. There's work, school, hobbies, and plenty of things to keep us occupied.
And I know most of us also desire to have a social life.
So how can we spend time with God?
Let's first establish that we need God. We want to be in His presence. We desire to be with God. It's not a have to, but a get to.
Spending time with God is a decision.
But let it be more than a decision. Let it be a lifestyle.
James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
God wants to fill you with His presence. Matthew 5:6 says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled."
The beautiful thing is we can spend time with God anywhere. God is always with us. We can always speak to Him and invite Him into our situation and He promises to always be there with us. The Bible says to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
There's plenty of excuses. But don't condemn yourself if you haven't been spending time with God. That's an assignment of the enemy.
You can make a decision today to go to Bible study, pray to the Lord, and give yourself to a relationship with Jesus.
